Painted from life in the Lancashire countryside in the Summer of 2018, the painting is part of my “Lancashire Plein Air” project which you can find out more about here.
This was another painting which took a while to plan but I was happy with the view and composition that I settled on. Climbing through nettles and over a stile to reach this spot, I was able to look down across the meander of the River Wyre towards Pool Foot Lane over in Singleton.
