I am delighted to announce that my portrait “Not a Penny More” has been shortlisted for the first round of the National Open Art Competition 2017!

The portrait features a football supporting friend and was painted entirely from life via the sight-size method over the course of a number of sittings in my studio.

Not a Penny More by Gary Armer

The painting will be judged later this month but in the meantime the public can vote for their favourite artworks via the World Art Vote. The artwork with the most votes from the public will automatically be entered into the final exhibition regardless of the judges’ results.

If you would like to support my work and vote for “Not a Penny More” then I would really appreciate it if you could vote via the link below before 28th August. It only takes a minute. Thank you and please keep your fingers crossed that it makes it through to the exhibition!
