Inside the Artist’s Studio

At long last I have finally got around to uploading a few photos of my place of work. The following shots provide an insight into my art studio where I lock myself away and happily paint for hours on end.

Portrait Artist's StudioThe building is North facing meaning I benefit from a consistent cool light throughout the working day which helps give me greater control over colour values and contrasts. I’ll put together a blog at a later date exploring how such light is a real plus in an artist’s studio.

Based in the Lancashire countryside, I’m lucky to have a workspace that allows me to paint in peace. The only interruptions tend to come from my inquisitive free range chickens who can sometimes make a racket outside!
